March Stakeholder Day 2019
Published on Monday, 01 April 2019
At March's Stakeholder Day over 40 representatives from 19 charities and organisations that support women, their partners and families, met in Birmingham to hear about NPEU's work, and the themes the PRU-MNHC will be focusing on from 2019-2024. Researchers from NPEU were there to hear from charities and community representatives about their priorities in maternal and newborn health and care. We had a new format with the day being chaired and run by the lay co-leads for public involvement, Rachel Plachcinski and Charlotte Bevan. There were sessions on how communication about the PRU-MNHC's work could be improved; how to forge better, more inclusive partnerships, and how organisations communicate with their own membership. The results of these conversations will be feeding into our new strategy for public involvement.
