NIHR Policy Research Unit in Maternal and Neonatal Health

We provide evidence about the health, wellbeing and care of mothers during and after pregnancy, their babies and their families. Our work directly affects government and NHS policy and the care that is delivered to families.

We are a team of experts in maternal and newborn health research, known as the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Maternal and Neonatal Health and Care (PRU-MNHC)

We are led by the NPEU at the University of Oxford, with collaborators from the Universities of Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester and Manchester, the Open University, Imperial University, and University College, London.

Our Public Involvement Task Group (PPI) Task Group ensure the experiences and needs of women and families are at the heart of our work.
